Our personal story...

Reggie and I began our partnership in 2004.

We were working together for another contractor when we realized we had complementary skills and talents, and similar ideas about what we wanted in our lives and for our clients.

I started as an art major in high school, then continued at the Museum of Fine Arts, and completed my undergraduate degree in Architectural Engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology. I worked for a lot of different contractors for a while, trying my hand at all aspects of construction: framing, plumbing, tile work, and finish carpentry. That gave me an appreciation for quality and what it takes to do well in those areas.

My interest in carpentry began at an early age. I grew up with a woodworking shop and had a lot of woodworking books I would read and use to copy projects. I've always loved seeing all the different millwork details in houses and over the years, enjoyed copying them or implementing them into projects whenever I could.

Reggie took a different route. He went to Vocational School where he studied masonry and started out doing mostly landscape construction. Like me, he found his passion in fine carpentry and worked hard to master it.

Beside our business, Reggie and I share a love of the outdoors, family, and friends-which, together with the work we do every day, really ground us.

We love working with good, high-quality subcontractors too. Just like with our customers, we know it's the relationships that matter so we focus on building those as much as on building houses. Relationships and mutual respect-- we've got that with all of our crew members. It's what has really worked for us-to ensure the best possible results for our clients, to set us apart, and help us be successful. - Shawn
